Cyndi Lauper opened the concert, making it a bundled deal. I actually enjoyed her music very much, had forgotten how much I like her music. What bothered me was the political commentary from the stage. Agree or disagree with her perspective, that is my personal opinion.
At first, Rod Stewart's mic was low and the band was loud. My husband and I thought it might be to hide his lack of voice, but around 4 songs in, he started getting louder and sounded great mostly. We are both tired of audiences singing for the musician. It was disappointing to hear Maggie May mainly sung by the audience. To top it off, the man next to us seemed to think we came to hear him sing and belted out every song loudly. The women behind us chatted loudly through half the concert until my husband reminded them we were trying to enjoy the show. Our neighbors got up to leave four times during the concert.
Honestly, if not for the concert etiquette annoyances caused by people, we would likely rate this a 5-star experience.
